Why Does Pandora Only Play One Song And Stop On Android?

Pandora is a unique music streaming service, the algorithm of which reacts to your ratings of the songs randomly played to you in order to optimise your listening experience, exposing you to lots of music through a radio-like user experience.

Unfortunately, lots of people are complaining that their Pandora app on Android is not working properly. Instead of Pandora Radio or Pandora Music continuously selecting and playing random songs based on your feedback and music taste, Pandora instead only plays one song before stopping.

This is, of course, super annoying. The whole point to Pandora is that you can tune into it like a radio station full of new music you know or will come to know, and will love. If it only plays one song and then crashes, this renders Pandora effectively useless.

Thankfully, there are a few quick fixes to help get Pandora back working properly on Android.

To learn how to fix the Pandora issue on Android, follow our step-by-step tutorials below. For everything else, see our FAQ section at the end of this article.

FAQs

What is Pandora on Android?

Pandora on Android refers to Pandora Radio (AKA Pandora Music), an American music-streaming service with a unique selling point: Pandora operates like a radio station, playing you randomly-selected song after randomly-selected song. You, the user, give songs you really like a ‘thumbs up’, and songs not to your taste a ‘thumbs down’.

In doing so, you supply the Pandora platform with information about your taste in music, which it then uses to better calibrate your listening experience, hopefully over time creating a radio-listening experience which suits you personally.

Pandora is also great for aspiring and up-and-coming artists, as their songs will get airtime whereas they might not get as much on a streaming service like Spotify where you have to know of a band to search for them.

Pandora has a huge number of fans in the USA and elsewhere in the western world. Unfortunately, however, there is sometimes an issue with the Pandora service in that it will play one song and then stop, rather than playing continuously.

To find out how to correct this issue, check out our tutorials in the main body of the article above.
