Apart from being able to follow pages and groups on Facebook, the social network also allows you to follow people (which happens automatically once you become friends with them) thus giving you the opportunity to see their posts on your News Feed. However, what happens when you want to stop following a Facebook page or when you don’t want to see certain people’s posts on your Feed?
Thankfully, there are a few quick and easy ways you can unfollow anyone on Facebook, whether it’s a person or a page, by following the methods described below:
Unfollowing from the News Feed
One of the easiest ways you can unfollow unwanted content on Facebook is directly from your News Feed. Here’s how:
- Open the Facebook app on your Android device, and sign in if necessary.
- On your News Feed (homepage) locate a post of the page or person you wish to unfollow.
- Once a post is found, tap on the three dots next to it.
- Here, simply choose Unfollow and the person’s or page’s posts will no longer appear on your News Feed.
Unfollowing a person or page directly
If you can’t seem to locate a post of the specific person or page in question, you can also unfollow them directly by following the steps below:
- Open the Facebook app on your Android device, and sign in if necessary.
- In the search bar at the top, look for the person or page you wish to unfollow, and then go to their profile.
- If it’s a person’s profile, tap on the three vertical dots under their name. Here, press Following, and then select Unfollow.
- If it’s a Facebook page, press Following, and then select Unfollow.
- If it’s a Facebook group, tap on the three vertical dots under the name, and then select Unfollow.
And there you have it! With just a couple of simple steps, you can easily unfollow a person, group, or page on Facebook, ultimately removing their posts from your News Feed.
