With the euro used as currency for currently 19 countries it is sometimes very useful to know how to get the euro sign or symbol in your document or on your screen. There are multiple ways to print a euro symbol on your screen, but the most simple trick is the following. For this method you should enable the num lock feature on your keyboard.
- Press the following combination on your keyboard: Left Alt + 0128 (hold down the left alt button and type the numbers on your numerical keyboard).
If this doesn’t work you can select the euro sign here: €, and right click on your mouse and choose copy. Now you can paste the sign anywhere you need it.
On some keyboards you will find a small euro sign below the normal number 4 or 5 on your keyboard. In this case you can try the following.
- Press CTRL + ALT + The number with the euro sign (usually 4 or 5) at the same time.
Those settings are depended on your keyboard region settings. Keep in mind that not every font supports the euro sign. In that case you can just use EUR.
