While official transcripts can effortlessly be downloaded from any website with just a click of a button in most cases, sometimes you might need an unofficial version of a transcript for personal use. And although this method might require a couple of additional steps, it’s still possible and relatively easy to do. Here’s how you can achieve it when using some of the most popular internet browsers:
Using Google Chrome
If you’re currently using Google Chrome, you can save your transcript as a PDF by following the steps below:
- Firstly, locate the transcript you’d like to save, and then select or open it. Transcripts can usually be found in the ‘Student records’ or ‘Academic transcripts’ sections of a website.
- Now, press the three vertical dots in the top-right part of the window, and then choose the Print option. Alternatively, you could also click the Control/Command + P keys on your keyboard.
- Within the Print window that appears, choose the Save as PDF option that can be found under the Destination section.
- Then, press the Save tab.
- Now, select a name and destination for your file, and press Save once again to download your transcript.
Using Safari
If you’re utilizing Safari, on the other hand, you can follow these steps to save your transcript as a PDF:
- Firstly, locate the transcript you’d like to save, and then select or open it. Transcripts can usually be found in the ‘Student records’ or ‘Academic transcripts’ sections of a website.
- Press the File tab at the top, and then select the Print option.
- In the lower-left part of the Print window, press PDF, and then choose the Save as PDF option.
- Now, select a name and destination for your file, and press Save once again to download your transcript.
Note: Although only two of the most popular web browsers were mentioned in this article, the process for printing pages is nearly identical in all of them – all you have to do is access the printing option by pressing CTRL/Command + P, and then choosing to Save as PDF.
And that’s it! Now you know how to effortlessly download any unofficial transcript in the form of a PDF, regardless of the internet browser you are currently using.
