How to remove devices from Spotify (iOS)
- Open the Spotify app on your iPhone or iPad and tap the ‘Settings’ icon in the top-right
- From the menu, select ‘Devices’
- Next, select ‘Devices Menu’
- From the list of devices connected to your Spotify account, locate those which you wish to remove
- To remove a device, tap the three horizontal dots to the right of the device name
- Then, from the pop-up menu, select ‘Forget device’ and follow any further on-screen instructions to confirm the removal of this device
- Repeat as necessary to remove all unwanted devices from your Spotify account
Note: Later versions of the Spotify app may have removed this feature.
How to remove devices from Spotify (desktop)
As we said before, this method is a little more roundabout than the iOS method. However, it still gets the job done.
- Open the Spotify app on your laptop or PC, and tap the Profile icon in the top-right
- From the drop-down menu, select ‘Account’
- You will be redirected to the Spotify website ‘Account’ page on your default internet browser, once there, confirm your identity by clicking ‘Log In’
- From the account overview, scroll down to ‘Sign out everywhere’ and click on the SIGN OUT EVERYWHERE button
- Note: signing out of all devices can take up to an hour to take effect

- Lastly, open the Spotify app on all of the devices you wish to keep connected to your account, and sign in to your account again. (In effect, you are wiping the slate clean and then re-adding only the devices you want to connect – we told you it was roundabout, didn’t we!)
