FAQs
What is Apple Pay?
Apple Pay is a contactless payment system built into all new iPhones and iOS versions. It allows the users to pay at contactless payment points (now widely available on most card readers used by the majority of modern businesses) using only their phone.
By loading yoru various debit and/or credit cards into the Apple ‘Wallet’ app on your iPhone, you can then pay with these cards through your phone, via Apple Pay, without ever having to have those cards on you. There is no payment limit to paying by Apple Pay, either, unlike when you pay with the contactless payment mechanism of modern credit and debit cards.
Is Apple Pay secure?
Paying with your phone might seem risky, but Apple has taken steps to ensure that it is as secure (if not more so, or so they argue) than paying with your card directly. In order to pay with Apple Pay, you must first unlock your phone with one of three secure passcodes – facial-scan recognition, fingerprint recognition, and/or PIN verification.
