How to Disable Ad Blocker for One Site in Google Chrome

There could be a number of different situations in which you might want to allow ads on a certain website, whether it shows relevant and useful ads, it won’t load when the ad blocker is on, or you simply want to support a creator or a cause by allowing ads. No matter what the situation might be, disabling Chrome’s built-in ad blocker on one, specific website is a quick and easy process that could be done in a matter of seconds. Here’s how to do it:

Using Chrome on desktop

  1. Open Google Chrome on your computer.
  2. Go to the website you want to whitelist. Make sure it’s safe, secure and trusted.
  3. On the left side of the website URL, you will see either a Lock icon or an Info bubble. Click on it.
  4. In the drop-down menu that appears, select Site Settings.
  5. Scroll down to find the Ads section, and then choose Allow in the provided drop-down menu.
  6. Reload the webpage to ensure the changes have taken effect.
  7. All ads will now be allowed on that specific website.

Using Chrome on Android

  1. Open the Google Chrome app on your Android phone or tablet.
  2. Go to the website you want to whitelist. Make sure it’s safe, secure and trusted.
  3. Tap on the More icon (three vertical lines in the upper-right corner) and then press Settings.
  4. Scroll down until you find Site Settings, and then select it.
  5. Find the Ads section, and then press the down arrow next to it. From there, choose Allow.
  6. Reload the webpage to ensure the changes have taken effect.
  7. All ads will now be allowed on that specific website.

In case you ever change your mind, and want to block ads on the website you previously whitelisted, all you have to do is follow these same steps, only choose the Block option instead of Allow.
