How to add sound from the TikTok app to a new video
- Open up the TikTok app and sign in
- Press the (+) sign at the bottom of the screen to begin the process of creating a new TikTok
- Now, to add a sound before you record your TikTok, simply tap ‘Sounds’ at the top of the screen.
- Search for the sound(s) you want to add to your TikTok, and choose one from the sounds available on the TikTok app (this can be a song, or a meme, or a movie quote, depending on what’s available to you). How to add sound not available on the TikTok app to a TikTok
TikTok offers lots of sounds to choose from, but not every sound you might want to add will be available on the app. As such, there are still a few ways you can get around this, and end up with a TikTok with exactly the sound you want on it.
Method One: Play your chosen sound on a separate device, whilst you record your TikTok.
Method Two: Using another video editing app, import your pre-recorded video, and then manually add the sound you want to it. Export this video, and then upload it as a TikTok.
